I hope someone might still be looking here :)

I have followed the VM setup instructions and everything is working on win xp sp3. The issue is my graphics within eq2 (see image) I have tried adjusting both ingame settings and resolutions as well as the max resolution of the VM. I am new to VM's and am not sure if I missed something. It says that 3D acceleration is on. Any thoughts on how to improve these graphics would be great. Also, my mouse control ingame is terrible. Microscopic movements result in full 180 degree jumps in view.

Thanks for your thoughts!

In case the photo does not post (because of my ineptitude :) What I am seeing is that all of the polygons (except sky) are reflections of the screen itself, ie my toon standing in there with some of the surroundings. It is almost like it is texture mapping with the screen image at a lower resolution...

Wow never seen that before i would do a full scan and check for currupted files.  That's my first bet, if that doesn't work make sure you are using the newest version.  Next bet would be what video card ur running.

Well, I reinstalled eq2 and still have the same issue.

I have an gforce 275gtx as the video card, so I find it hard to believe that is the issue unless the vmware virtual drivers are not playing well with it.

Does anyone know if you can layer actual nvidia drivers within the VM?

I use VMware Player and am having the mouse issue you mentioned, but not the graphics problem. I'm running a Geforce GTX 285.
Also running Win XP Pro SP3 in the VM with no added drivers other than installed the VMware Tools.

Did you install the VMware Tools, in your VM?

I had the same exact problem, when I tried it.  I never did get it to work.  I gave up.  If you find a solution please post it.

A lot has to do with the graphics card and their "hacked" drivers that are built for VM.  Not sure of a solution atm i will tell you if i come across something.
